Restoration Completed!

monument frontOne hundred plus years took their toll on the historic Kosciuszko monument. The bronze sculpture had never been conserved and was in need of significant restoration when a group of volunteers took on the task in 2008. Radiography and metal analysis at that time determined that extensive conservation to both the interior and exterior were necessary to maintain the integrity of the monument and ensure that it survived for future generations. Five years later, after more than  $400,000 was raised, the fully restored monument was rededicated along with a new plaza in the park on November 11, 2013.
